BBC - Radio 3 - Beethoven Experience - downloads
I just now discovered that the BBC was offering free downloads of all of Beethoven’s symphonies. Unfortunately, the first 5 are no longer available. Apparently you had to download within 7 days of the original broadcast. Hmmm… wonder if any of my pals in England managed to download during June?
These particular recordings are performed by the BBC Philharmonic under Gianandrea Noseda. Symphony No. 9 in Dm, the Choral Symphony. Hillevi Martinpelto (soprano), Karen Cargill (mezzo-soprano), Paul Nilon (tenor), Alistair Miles (bass), City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus.
